The Center for Intercultural Learning and Arts that aims to empower young Palestinians and Israelis to explore and embrace their full creative potential in building intercultural understanding, transforming root causes of violent conflict and co-creating paths to sustainable peace.

The Center is built upon a growing Palestinian-Israeli initiative in the village of Haris, a Palestinian Village with a population of approx. 4.000 inhabitants and located in the northern West Bank.

Inspired by an international peace project and community, led by the renowned peace activist and Nobel Peace Prize nominee Thich Nath Hanh, a profoundly committed group of Palestinians and Israelis created this initiative for cultivating peace among and within themselves.

The project builds and strengthens community-based infrastructure for teaching and learning creative life skills and non-violent practices to build long-lasting relationships and strengthen the culture of peace, local peacebuilding and social healing.

The Center facilitates courses on arts, music, theatre, crafts, languages (Arab, Hebrew, English) and provides a safe and shared space for dialogue, reflection, meditation as well as gardening, eating and joint celebrations.
